The West Coast Trades Academy gives secondary school students the chance to start training for a trade while they are still at school. Students in year 11, 12 and 13 have the option to study in a trades programme as well as working towards their NCEA qualifications.

Earn whilst working. Paid or not, internships are an awesome experience to learn more about the industry and get your foot in the door!

A one-on-one learning experience, put your skills to the test and act like you are in a real world interview.
Get qualified by completing on the job training via approved NCEA coursework.
