Be Recognised on the YES Website! ⭐

Are you a Māori or Pasifika-owned business?

Are you a Māori or Pasifika-owned business making a difference in your community? Do you want to showcase your business's unique identity and support the local youth?

Look no further! Youth Employment Success (YES) is thrilled to introduce our opportunities filtering feature on the YES website, specifically designed to acknowledge and highlight Māori and Pasifika employers.

YES Opportunity filters

Statistics from the September 2021 quarter reveal that youth unemployment rates were 7.8 percent for Europeans, 15.5 percent for Māori, 11.2 percent for Pasifika, and 9.6 percent for Asian groups. (Source: Link)

At YES, we believe in creating equitable opportunities and empowering employers and young talent from diverse backgrounds. That's why we are excited to extend our support to your business and provide you with the recognition you deserve.

So why is it important to promote and showcase Māori and Pasifika Employers to Māori and Pasifika youth?

Showcasing Māori and Pasifika employers to Māori and Pasifika youth is crucial for inspiring and motivating the next generation, providing positive role models, empowering their cultural identity, challenging stereotypes, expanding their career horizons, and contributing to community development. It fosters a sense of pride, breaks down barriers, promotes inclusivity, and increases opportunities for success within their own communities.

Sign me up, what are the criteria?

  1. You are currently a YES Employer or a youth-friendly employer planning to become a YES Employer.
  2. Your business is at least 50% Māori or Pasifika-owned or you're a Pasifika, kaupapa Māori, iwi or hāpū lead organisation.

If you are ready to make a difference and be recognised, we invite you to get in touch with us today. Let us help you promote your brand, connect with youth from your communities, and contribute to a brighter future for our rangatahi!
